Community Teachers

Hannah Epps

In 2005 after just having her 1st baby she had a car accident that led to some back problems so she started Pilates, she found it so beneficial she left her busy Marketing Managers job to start training in Pilates level 3 and Back Pain. Over the many years of teaching she’s taught in local halls, leisure centres and now built her own studio in Surrey but still works at a Therapy Centre for people with specific injuries in Swanage.

She found a particular passion in helping women so did courses on pregnancy, postnatal health, menopause (3rd age), alignment, pelvic floor and osteoporosis. She does practice what she preaches in class and exercises every morning with her Pilates rituals and has corrected a weak pelvic floor and unstable hips, but she believes in balance so like most of us enjoys a piece of cake after a dog walk and cocktails and Prosecco with friends. She has taught a few local celebrities.

She is a mum of two and a cockapoo and loves Pilates, walking, helping people, socialising, travelling and trying different foods. She set up Pilates Community to share her knowledge, run retreats around the world, cooperate with other Pilates teachers both new and experienced, and promote the benefits of Pilates to a wider audience. She hopes you will join her in enjoying Pilates as well She has recently trained to give fascia release massage for neck and back.

Immy Annan

Immy started practising Yoga during an extremely stressful period of her life, as a mother of three young children running an Interior Design business, she found her stress levels were permanently maxed out, and this was taking its toll on her body. She went to a Chiropractor, who recognised that most of the symptoms were stress related and was recommended to try a Yoga class. The benefits were instant and almost immediately she realised that she would like to take Yoga to another level. However, it took many years to find the time to do the Teacher Training Course.

In 2016 after 12 years of practicing Yoga regularly, she decided to change the direction of her life and enrolled on the British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Course with Debby Wilkinson at the White Horse Yoga Centre, Devizes. The process has been life changing and she believes she now has one of the most rewarding jobs. For the last two years she worked with Gary Carter, the well known Scaravelli inspired Yoga teacher on his Anatomy of movement and myofascial yoga courses.

She is very interested in functional movement believes what we do on the mat can help tremendously in the rest of life. Working with the breath is at the core because of its beneficial effects relaxing and calming the body. We live in such a frantic, frenetic and stressful world and rarely allow ourselves the time to properly recharge. It is now her mission to bring the benefits of yoga to more people who need to recharge, rewind and reboot!
