In 2005 after just having her 1st baby she had a car accident that led to some back problems so she started Pilates, she found it so beneficial she left her busy Marketing Managers job to start training in Pilates level 3 and Back Pain. Over the many years of teaching she’s taught in local halls, leisure centres and now built her own studio in Surrey but also works at a Therapy Centre for people with specific injuries in The Sands, Farnham. After a car accident in 2004 I had to have a strict morning exercise routine to stay “strong” and do stretches to help release any back pain. 

She found a particular passion in helping women so did courses on pregnancy, postnatal health, menopause (3rd age), alignment, pelvic floor and osteoporosis. She does practice what she preaches in class and exercises every morning with the online Facebook group. She has corrected a weak pelvic floor and unstable hips, but she believes in balance so like most of us enjoys a piece of cake after a dog walk and cocktails and Prosecco with friends. She has taught a few local celebrities. 

 She is a mum of two and a cockapoo and loves Pilates, walking, helping people, socialising, travelling and trying different foods. She set up Pilates Community to share her knowledge, run retreats around the world, cooperate with other Pilates teachers both new and experienced, and promote the benefits of Pilates to a wider audience.  Guest Teacher – Beth Allcock

Hello, I’m Beth, founder of PilatesbyBeth.

 I’m a BCP qualified Mat Pilates teacher specialising in Pilates for Pre and Post Natal and Bone Health.

I’m particularly passionate about the latter as I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in my mid Twenties, and Pilates was key to my rehab and building bone strength. I love to share my knowledge and experiences to help clients in a similar position.

 I currently teach in studios in London and Essex, 1:1, for brands including MobFit, on FaceBook for The Pilates Community Live, Bodyset Physio in Harley Street and, of course, on Zoom!

 Off the mat, I share my time between London and the Peak District, where I love to hike up hills with my boyfriend or play tennis at our local club.

My absolute favourite food is avocado on toast – served with a glass of prosecco of course!

Guest Teacher – Monika Alexander

BASI Mat Pilates Teacher Training Oct 2019

Monika is a Surrey based BASI Pilates teacher, keen runner and mum of 2 young boys.

She has special interest in using Pilates as a form of cross training for amateur athletes, to prevent injury and enhance performance by improving posture and addressing imbalances in the body.

She is also certified in pre and postnatal Pilates and works with busy mums to help them feel stronger, longer, leaner and ache free.

Her teaching style is quite dynamic and she loves using small equipment and everyday props to ensure her clients are challenged within their comfortable limits.

She is a member of REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) and CIMPSA (Chartered Institute for Management of Sport and Physical Activity).

Sara Rounce is a mum of 3 boys an experienced Pilates instructor, teaching Pilates in Surrey for over 15 years. Sara has been a qualified Pilates Teacher and a Women’s Health & Exercise Specialist since 2003 & has a wealth of experience in teaching Pilates to all levels and abilities. With a specialism in pregnancy & postnatal fitness she has developed a particular passion for women’s fitness & health.

Sara loves trying foods around the world e.g. Salad nicoise in South of France! Favourite naughty food – Cadburys or Lindt chocolate! Favourite tipple: sherry, favourite healthy drink: own green smoothie. When Sara isn’t teaching she likes spending time with her family, socialising, running, training her new Labrador puppy and a bit of baking & healthy eating.

Victoria Bolton – Yoga Teacher

Victoria found her love of yoga in New York in 1999. In her words, ‘After my first class I walked home floating on air. Clearly I was onto something and my yoga obsession began.’ Victoria began a regular practice from that moment forward.  In 2004 she tried Bikram yoga in Thailand which was hotter than hot! But it didn’t put her off and she soon became a regular Bikram practitioner, appreciating the benefits of practicing in the heat and the meditative element repetition of the same series can bring. 18 years since her yoga addiction began Victoria has practiced many different styles of yoga; hatha, vinyasa, yin, nidra, ashtanga to name a few. In 2016 she decided to take the journey further and completed her 200hr Yoga Alliance Professionals training hoping to share her varied experience and ongoing passion with others. Victoria believes yoga is for fun, yoga is for your mind and body but most of all, yoga is what you want it to be.  She loves to teach Hatha yoga primarily, focussing on strength building and alignment, thus avoiding injury.  But when the opportunity arises to teach a flowing vinyasa class, Victoria’s creativity in sequencing flows too.

Jane Turgoose – Chef

Janes qualified as a chef over 35 years ago and worked in Spain and UK, she is now a busy mum catering for family events and has done large school events at a local Prep school. `favourite activities are skiing, looking after her family and travelling.

Julie Dyball – Experienced Caterer

Jules is an experienced caterer with a passion for cooking healthy food, her favourite activities are skiing, yoga, cooking and eating with lovely people especially in the sunshine. Healthy food makes her feel good and she enjoys feeding others! She loves champagne and beer (not at the same time)!

Jules and Jane have worked together on several large events for hundreds of people at a prep school in Poole.
